Sunset Pool

The Sunset Pool opened to the public on September 28, 1977 and since that time, it has continued to grow and now encompasses a very diverse set of programs.

 

The Main Lap Pool is 25 yards with 6 lanes and contains an immense 140,000 gallons of water. it is held at an approximate 82°F plus or minus a couple of degrees depending on atmospheric conditions.

 

Our smaller 40,000 gallon Warm Water Pool is generally kept at around 91°F and is perfect for stretching, loosening achy joints, and strengthening muscles in a low-impact environment.

 

Sunset Pool also offers a hot tub, perfect for a soak after a workout in our fitness room.

Pool users can take part in lap and open swim times, a number of water fitness programs, swim lessons and much more. First-aid, CPR and Baby-Sitting certification courses are also available at select time throughout the year.

 

Lifeguard staff also offer some off-site programming during the summer months such as the Aquatic Adventure Camp and the very popular Learn-To-Surf Camps.
