Scholarships

The District offers scholarships for those who meet the income eligibility requirements, which closely follow the USDA's income guidelines. Scholarships are awarded on a quarterly basis and funding comes from two annual fundraisers put on by the Sunset Park & Recreation Foundation.

 

Depending on income, most scholarships range from 25% - 50% off of program fees. Four hours of volunteer service is required to maintain program eligibility and there are many volunteer opportunities around the district year-round. Program staff will cover volunteer requirements as part of the award process.

To find out if you are eligible, print a copy of our Scholarship Application (haga clic aquí para la aplicación en español), fill it out completely, sign, and return with the requested documents to the address listed on the application.
