Beach Wheelchairs

Our Beach Wheelchair program started a few years ago after local business owner, Randy Anderson orchestrated a donation of two beach wheelchairs from Wheel-Fun Rentals here in Seaside. In addition, Randy purchased a third, heavy duty chair, which arrived and was put into service in late September.

The chairs are available to use free of charge for up to four hours at a time.

The good news is, our friends at Travel Oregon awarded us a grant this past fall, which has allowed us to purchase three wheelchair lockers that have been installed downtown in the city parking lot, on the west side of the restrooms. This means that interested users no longer have to transport the chairs from our facility to the beach.
